LOVED this place I would 100% go back.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful, loved all the workshops/activities, everything was optional but I recommend doing as many as possible, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I felt so rested and reenergised after the trip.

I had the absolute pleasure of booking a 3 night stay at Bali Silent Retreat from July 25-28th. It was the most humbling and rewarding experience and I highly recommend to anyone seeking a retreat away from the noise of the city (or an overthinking mind). It gave me the opportunity to really truly and intentionally be in silence with myself, nature, and the beautiful land of Bali. I chose the single room and was amazed by the cleanliness and comfort. It was very modest accommodations that provided the basic necessities (i.e., towel, face cloth, bedding, robe for sleeping, mosquito net around bed, etc.). You could see (and feel) the amount of effort and care that was taken to ensure respect for the guests AND the natural habitat AND the environment. The focus on environmental sustainability and how we can use these practices within our own homes and places of work was very inspiring. I took part in the morning yoga on the second day and it helped me cultivate an open mindset and set the tone for mindful listening throughout the day. The food was absolutely incredible! We made our own tea using fresh plants and herbs and we washed our own dishes after meals. We were responsible for our things and I found that to be very humbling. There is a library where I borrowed and read How to Sit by Thich Nhat Hanh that was exquistely appropriate. Thank you to all of the Angels who cooked delicious, hearty, and healthy meals. You could taste the love. Thank you to all of the Angels who welcomed me to Bali Silent Retreat and treated me like family. You made me feel safe. Thank you to the founders of the retreat for creating this beautiful space for us to develop our meditation practice and sit in silence. Suksma. And most importantly, thank you to all of the sentient beings who granted me permission to let go and explore, wonder, and appreciate all they give. Endless waves of gratitude

A Soulful Sanctuary That Heals and Grounds
I first visited the Bali Silent Retreat in 2022, spending 10 days there after leaving a demanding corporate job. I went seeking calm and healing from a toxic work environment — and I found exactly what I needed. It was the perfect place to unwind, reset, and reconnect with myself in a soulful sanctuary surrounded by nature.
I recently returned, this time in search of clarity as I stand at a crossroads in my career. Once again, the retreat worked its quiet magic. With a variety of optional activities (or the freedom to simply be), I immersed myself in journaling, reading, and deep reflection. I brought five books and finished them all!
Mealtimes became a daily highlight — the kitchen team crafts wholesome, nourishing, farm-to-table meals that feed the body and soul. I left feeling full of gratitude, more present, and ready to take on whatever comes next. I’ll return whenever my spirit calls for it.

Tip: A place to find yourself and reset your mind and soul.
Very comfortable with all the facilities that you need to be able to enjoy a very pleasant trip deep inside your self. Away from noises, technology and stress of any kind. The food is delicious and abundant, the landscapes are stunning, and the whole crew that works there are the kindest humans you could encounter. It was a great experience for me and helped me to reconnect with myself and find the answers that I needed. I fully recommend the Bali Silent Retreat, I will definitely coming back !

Tip: I would go back every year if I could.
This is my third trip to this paradise and I would come back every year if I could. It’s so welcoming and even though you are alone in silence, you never feel lonely. There are mountains, rice paddies and a real jungle to look at, and the lush green grounds are filled with countless flowers and butterflies. Photos don’t do it justice. The daily yoga and meditation is suitable for beginners and advanced yogis; you “do as you can”. The food is the best I have eaten anywhere. It’s grown on site and meals are based on what is available that day. Alive food tastes like life. The hardest thing is being so full that you have to stop! And the big communal space for reading or writing or sleeping feels like home; people relax and sleep or just lie around and read. You do have to be confident walking up steep stairs and along slippery paths; access is limited. And if you get hot at night, I highly recommend getting one of the bigger rooms. And don’t miss a trip to the local springs (no tourists!) and I had the best massage I have ever has in Bali there. The quiet can be confronting, but the amazing staff are always there. I had a bad day and an office angel said to me “we will look after you” and they did.

Tip: Meditation and Self Discovery journey with Nature and rice paddy fields.
Wonderful time here in this sanctuary, it actually brought me to tears walking through the area during the tour. This place is truly so wholesome and incredible on so many levels: hundreds of years ago, it used to be a healing center AND all the activities offered, local experiences, walks, gamelan playing, AND THE FOOOOOOOOOD, from the suns energy nurturing the foods to them harvesting and preparing amazing delicious fishes (food angels <3) and the snack bar and tea making area, the bale to do exercise and meditation, and just the immense beauty disconnecting to CONNECT WITH EVERYTHING ONENESS. Mutur suksma for creating and aligning this heaven on earth for us to experience!!!!!

A special place in nature, and a haven of peace. For me, this was a week to get rid of the social pressures of Dutch life. I stayed 8 days and have certainly been able to find peace. Beautiful surroundings and great food, with excelled breakfast. Definitely recommended if you want to find peace in yourself!
