Volunteer Accommodations are in an antique Javanese Jogolo house that’s been converted into 4 single rooms. It’s in the rice field, next to the retreat, but not on the retreat – a 3minute walk. It has a direct view of the famous Mt. Agung to the east, getting morning light and natural breezes. The personal space is small but the retreat itself is large with many areas to explore rest, relax and eat.
Each bedroom has a single bed, with mosquito net, a clothes rack and a large plastic box for storage of personal items, and a private bath room with hot shower. There’s a small common area with refrigerator, cooking facilities and books. A washing machine is available at the volunteer house, but no dryer, so you need to chase the sun to dry clothes . . . or send them to the laundry.
Organic fresh food is available all day at the retreat’s main lodge.
